    Near Eastern Dagger

    1200-800 B.C

    Blade tapering in outline with faint traces of broad mid-rib. Narrow tapered guard with semi-circular design gives way to 'stretched' cylindrical grip with three bronze bosses on obverse and reverse sides. Pommel constitutes projecting crescentic shaped wings with separating band of transverse ribs which attach the two lengths of bronze.
