    Boeotian Female Protome

    Fifth Century B.C

    Female protome with sides approximating to head and shoulders illustrating level of sophistication not demonstrated on earlier protomes. Svelte features beneath centrally parted hair and low polos

    Small incised hole to top of polos.

    Similar example found in tomb at Halae of 420-390 B.C, this must be a contemporary.
