Roman Imperial Terracotta Gladiatorial Lamp
c. 2nd-3rd Century A.D
Sunken central discus with helmeted gladiator in raised relief at centre with head facing direction of right hand holding mace, with left hand holding shield. Double incised perimeter, sloping shoulder, semi-circular shaped channel flanked by pseudo volutes, comparatively large wick hole. Gallic origin.
