    New Kingdom Wooden Boatman

    c. 16th-11th Century B.C

    Hand carved wooden figure with body bent forward at the hips. Wears white kilt; extensive deep red pigment of the torso and face and black pigment of the features and wig remaining. Would originally have been pegged amongst other boatmen to a base board.
