    Magna Graecia Apulian Salt

    Fourth Century B.C

    Deep circular bowl, concave-sided at bottom, convex ribbed shoulder above a carination, a thick rim, in-curved and rounded on top; bottom hollowed out to form thin foot of medium height, flaring slightly at base. Black gloss glaze covering whole. Small rosette decorating centre of salt.
