Ancient Roman Glass Balsamaria

Used for storing perfumed oils and other expensive cosmetic liquids and powders, ‘balsamaria’ were some of the most common items of blown glass in ancient Rome. The body and mouth of a balsamarium is usually small, allowing the user to carefully and easily pour and control the desired amount of liquid.
