Askos
‘Askoi’ are ancient Greek pottery vessels used to pour small quantities of liquids, such as oil. Extensively traded in and around the Mediterranean, they tended to be finely painted black- or red-figure pottery, and were usually used for storing the oil to refill the lamps.
