Helios

In Greek mythology, Helios was the god and personification of the sun. He was described as an handsome young man with the shining aureole of the Sun, driving the chariot of the sun across the Sky. One of the most famous stories of Helios is about his son who attempted to drive his father’s chariot but lost control and set the earth on fire. Therefore, Zeus threw a thunderbolt at Phaethon killing him instantly to save all the mortals.
