North Europe

North Europe includes the territories of the UK, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway and Sweden. There is a well documented Roman influence which extending into the UK but a pre-Iron Age culture also existed in Northern Europe. The European Bronze Age began in the 3rd and 2nd millennium, alongside the first cities of the Near East and Egypt. North of the Alps however society functioned on a much smaller scale and did so until the Roman expansion.
