Caracalla was the Roman Emperor from 198-217 AD. He was a member of the Severan Dynasty and co-ruled with his father until his death, when Caracalla proceeded to co-rule with his brother, Geta. Caracalla had his brother murdered in order that he should become sole emperor. His reign was troublesome, with great unrest and many invasions.
