A Canaanite bronze figure of a god, standing frontal with straight legs, and with arms raised to the level of the shoulders. This is a posture of power, further emphasised by the strong facial expression and slight incline of the head. The head is modelled with a prominent nose, full cheeks, and large rounded eyes. He wears ear ornaments and his hair/wig hangs in a straight line down the back. The figure has a slim, flat body with thickening around the buttocks.
Condition: Complete, with good dark-patinated metal. There are some cuprous depoits which are stable, with encrustations.
