Controlled excavations in western Persia have revealed the extensive range of bronze personal ornaments in use during the late second and early first millennium BC. Some bronze objects (such as anklets, torcs, and mirrors) show little local variation, but this due partly to the fact that they tend to lack elaborate decoration. Local styles are more apparent on bracelets and belt fittings both in cast and sheet metal.
