Ancient Roman jewellery is mainly known for its creations made out of material that could be seen as noble such as gold and gemstones. However, after the Roman conquest of the Egyptian territory, its ancient tradition of bone jewellery influenced the new production of jewels, resulting in original and rare pieces, such as this bracelet. Like glass creations, it allowed the less wealthy classes of the society to follow the fashions set by the imperial and artistocratic classes of society.
