Bronze Age bracelets such as these were worn constantly on the wrists and around the arms of both men and women. They were used as a status symbol as well as to identify the wearer. The development of Bronze work during this period allowed for an increase in production rates as in comparison to previously used materials such as stone, bronze was far easier to shape and meld as it could be both cast as well as hammered into shape. Later periods saw bronze work develop further with the addition of elaborate decorations and shapes.
