A nicely modelled Anatolian burnished ceramic jug featuring an oval body raising from a flattened base, a short neck, and a wide rim. A single looped handle extends from the vessel’s rim to the shoulder. Two incised lines run across the neck.

Condition: Very fine, minor chip to the rim.

Due to the impact of the strong Iron Age Iranian pottery influence, Anatolian potteries show much homogeneity with those potteries from Amlash and Luristan cultures, in both typological and stylistic aspects. However, geometric patterns and their richly varied compositions indicate a typical Anatolian feature.
