Due to the impact of the strong Iron Age Iranian pottery influence, Anatolian potteries show much homogeneity with those potteries from Amlash and Luristan cultures, in both typological and stylistic aspects. However, geometric patterns and their richly varied compositions indicate a typical Anatolian feature. The associations of an arched line and short incisions have been frequently seen on Anatolian potteries from the 2nd to the 1st millennium BC.
