Roman Bronze Mirror Set


A cast mirror set comprising two discs, each with one recessed face and incised concentric rings.

Date: Circa 2nd - 3rd Century AD
Condition: Fine condition, with an attractive green patina.


Mirrors were highly valued by individuals of ancient Rome, on account of the importance given to appearance and grooming. They were often displayed in public spaces, such as the baths, so that everyone had access to them.
