Boeotian Protome


A terracotta protome from Boeotia of a female head. The facial features are carefully rendered in low relief and are clearly discernible, especially the nose, ears, chin, and lips. The brows and eye sockets are suggested with subtle craftsmanship.

Date: 5th Century BC
Condition: Very fine condition.
