Boeotia
Boeotia was a region of central Greece. Its most famous city was the infamous Thebes, which had a numerous number of Greek myths associated with it. Oedipus and his tragic tale centred around the ancient city. Historically, Boeotia was a great military and navy power during the 5th century BC. They fought against the Athenians in the Pelopennesian War and against Sparta in the Corinthian War.
