Egyptian Greywacke Cosmetic Fish Spoon Fragment
An ancient Egyptian greywacke cosmetic spoon fragment, consisting of a rounded body which tapers to a curved point to create a fish shape. Incisions mark out a circular eye and a small upturned mouth, symmetrical with the underside. The spoon features crescent scales and detailing of a fin and gills, also made through incised markings. At the nose there is a small perforation, likely used for the attachment of a hinged cover for the spoon bowl. To the reverse, the flat surface is recessed to create the spoon bowl, whilst retaining the fish’s facial features. Graywacke is a variety of sandstone, characterised by it’s hardness and dull colouring.
The spoon fragment features a custom-made stand.

Coptic Tapestry Fragment with Soldiers
A rare Coptic, Late Roman, linen tapestry fragment displaying scenes of hunting soldiers. The tapestry depicts a soldier wearing a green belted sleeved tunic fighting a bear with a spear and shield. Another soldier, below, in a white tunic is shown on horseback, galloping with his arm raised. The soldiers are divided by helmeted heads, foliage, birds and forest animals. The band is framed with a white border and lies on a cherry red background. The decorative tapestry was highly likely to have been part of a tunic.
The fragment has been placed in a black frame on a cream silk background.
Size of actual fragment: L 25.0 cm x W 6.5 cm

Coptic Textile Fragment with Dancers and Zoomorphic Figure
A small Egyptian Coptic textile fragment woven in black wool onto coarse, unbleached linen. The fragment depicts several bands of decorative designs. The piece is composed of two arcaded trefoil borders, framing a circular medallion. The medallion displays a zoomorphic figure, possibly a hare, enclosed by foliated scrolls. Two human figures are portrayed dancing, each with one arm raised, placed above the medallion. This fragment could have easily been part of a tunic as a decoration.
Coptic Textile Fragment with Rosettes and Crosses
An Egyptian Coptic textile fragment woven in brown wool onto a darker brown linen. The fragment depicts three bands of decorative designs. The middle panel features two medallions, each enriched with a central rosette and a cross at its centre. Fine geometric motifs fill the empty spaces, acting as filler ornaments. The design is further embellished with a frieze of crosses interspersed with interlocking scrolls on either side of the inner panel. This fragment could have easily been part of a tunic as a decoration.
